How to mount your Cove keypad on a wall
Your keypad comes with everything you need to mount it to a wall. This guide walks you through mounting it securely — and how to remove it if you ever need to.

What's included in the mounting kit
- Mounting plate
- Screw and wall anchor
- Adhesive strip (peel and stick)
- Keypad power cable
You can choose to mount using the included screw or the adhesive strip — whichever works best for your wall.
Before you start
Put your system in shipping mode first
This powers down the keypad while you mount it, so you don't accidentally arm the system or trigger a panic alarm during installation. Once the keypad is mounted and plugged back in, your system will resume normally.

🔧How to mount the keypad to a wall
- Hold the mounting plate against the wall with the "UP" arrow pointing upward and the lower lip at the bottom.
- Then attach the plate to the wall using one of these two methods:
- → Screw: Use the included screw and anchor to screw the mounting plate into the wall.
- → Adhesive: Peel off the protective film and press the mounting plate firmly against the wall.
- Then attach the plate to the wall using one of these two methods:
💡 Make sure the plate is level and the lower lip is at the bottom — this is what holds the keypad in place.
- Align the back of the keypad so the opening slot fits around the mounting plate — the lower lip of the plate should slide snugly into the two slot openings on the back of the keypad.
- Press the keypad gently until it clicks into place.
✅Keypad mounted — you're all set!
- Plug the power cable back in. Your system will power on and resume normal operation.
Removing the keypad from the wall
Need to relocate your keypad or switch to desk use? Here's how to remove it safely.
📤How to remove the keypad from the mounting plate
- Put the system in shipping mode to power it down before removing it.
- Once powered down, gently pull the keypad out and upward from the center or bottom of the device to release it from the mounting plate.
- If you ran the power cable through the wall, gently pull the cable back through before removing the mounting plate.
