How to adjust your sensor settings in the Cove Connect app
You can rename your sensors, turn chimes on or off, manage notifications, and more — right from the app. Here's how.

Find your phone type below and follow the steps to get started.
Choose your phone type
Android
- Open the Cove Connect app and tap the menu bar (☰) in the top left.
- Tap Security. This shows all of your equipment. You can sort by category if needed.
- Find the sensor you want to adjust. Tap the three dots (⋮) to the right of it to open the settings menu.

🔔 App notifications
Get a notification on your phone whenever the sensor is triggered.

|
🎵 Door/window chime Doors & windows only
Play a chime sound through your keypad when a door or window sensor is triggered.

|
⏭️ Bypass a sensor
Temporarily skip a sensor when arming your system — useful if a door or window needs to stay open.
|
Good to know:
A bypass only lasts for one arming cycle. Once you disarm your system, the bypass is automatically removed, and the sensor is active again.
iPhone (iOS)
- Open the Cove Connect app and tap Security in the bottom menu bar.
- Find the sensor you want to adjust and tap on it to open its settings.
