How to add a sensor or siren to your Cove system
Did you get a new sensor or siren? Great news — you can add it yourself right from the Cove Connect app. This guide walks you through it step by step, whether you have an Android phone or an iPhone.

Before you start
Make sure you have the following ready:

| ✅The QR code or 7-digit number on the back of the sensor | ✅Your system powered on and connected |
Not sure which number to use? The 7-digit TXID is printed on a sticker on the back of your sensor. If you're adding a siren, you'll use the 8-digit Serial Number instead.
Choose your phone type
Android
- Open the Cove Connect app. Tap the three lines (☰) in the top left corner, then tap Settings.
- Scroll down and tap Add a Zone.
- Under Sensor Serial Format, select 0123456 (the second option), then tap Next Step.
- ➕ Adding a siren? Select 01AB23CD (the first option) instead.
- Scan the QR code on the sensor, or type in the 7-digit TXID printed on the back.
- ➕ Adding a siren? Type in the 8-digit Serial Number, tap Enroll Now, and skip to Step 7.
- Select the type of sensor you are adding from the list.
- Under Zone Name, choose a name for your sensor — for example, "Front Door" or “Living Room Window.”
- Tap Enroll Now. You'll see an "Enrolling" bar at the bottom of the screen. Once it disappears, your sensor is ready!
- You can find it in the sensor list on your Security page.
- ✅Sensor added successfully.
iPhone (iOS)
- Open the Cove Connect app. Tap the gear icon (⚙️) in the top left corner to open Settings.
- Tap Manage Systems.
- Tap the long number shown on screen — or your system name if you've renamed it.
- Tap Zone Enroll to start adding your sensor.
- Under Sensor Serial Format, select 0123456 (the second option), then tap Continue.
- ➕ Adding a siren? Select 01AB23CD (the first option) instead.
- Scan the QR code on the sensor, or type in the 7-digit TXID printed on the back.
- ➕ Adding a siren? Type in the 8-digit Serial Number, tap Enroll Now, and skip to Step 11.
- Tap Sensor Data Type. A list of sensor types will appear — select yours and tap Continue.
- In the Zone Name field, choose a name for your sensor — like "Back Door" or “Bedroom Window.”
- Tap Enroll Now.
- A pop-up will confirm: "Enrollment Success." Tap OK to finish.
- ✅Enrollment success
- Your sensor will now appear in the sensor list on your Security page. You're all set!
