Understanding Your Panel Display
Hello, Welcome to Cove! We are excited to partner with you to protect your home and family. Since you are new to our family, we want to give you the tools needed to understand your panel display and LED lights status. The sections below will break down your screen display into four sections: Panel Power Cellular Communication Alarm Status Emergency Call Status You will notice a Message Inbox on your display, it will flash with a Red Number to notify that you a new message has been received. You also have the option to silence your panel as it is arming. This feature will double the amount of time that you have to exit your home and you will no longer hear the beeping counting down. Panel Power Your Panel must be plugged in at all times. If your panel is unplugged, your panel will state "Panel AC Power Failure". This means that your panel is no longer receiving power from the outlet and is running on the backup battery. Backup Battery The panel's backup battery, when fully charged, can last for up to 24-hours after the power supply from the outlet has gone out. Your panel will indicate your battery status at that time; if your panel states low battery, please plug your panel into a power source as soon as you are able. Cellular Communication Our two-way voice communication through our panel is powered by AT&T. Our panel has a SIM card inside, however, the panel differs from a regular cell phone because it can only run off of an AT&T tower. Unlike your cell phone, the panel cannot use another service provider tower, such as Verizon. When your panel is no longer communicating with the cell tower, a Red X will display over the cell bars and your panel will state "Panel Communication Failure". Alarm Status The LED lights behind your home a call button will change depending on the status of your alarm. The only time the LED lights will not display is when the panel is no longer plugged into an outlet or you have turned off the lights in the settings.…Read More -

This code also disarms the system which serves to pacify the intruder. Never test your system using this code, as there is no way to cancel the dispatch of emergency services once it has been entered! How to Create/Update Hostage Passcode Tap "Settings" (On the top right-hand corner of your panel) Enter in your four-digit master code Select "User Passcodes" Select "Create" Enter your desired four-digit hostage passcode (you will be asked to verify this code again for accuracy)…Read More -

The Display Timeout is the duration of time required without touch feedback before the screen automatically turns off. This feature reduces energy consumption. The Clean Screen option disables the Cove Touch screen for 30 seconds so you can clean your screen. We recommend using a damp, lint-free, scratch-resistant cloth. Never use cleaning solvent to clean the Cove Touch screen. The Home and Emergency Call buttons will still function during the screen cleaning process. The LED Buttons can be turned on or off. Modifying Monitoring Transmission
Understanding Transmission Delay When a sensor is triggered on your alarm system, the Cove Touch panel has an option to delay alarm transmission to the monitoring center. This can be altered to however long you think you'll need if you are encountering a lot of false alarms. If you accidentally trigger your alarm system you will have 0 seconds before a signal is sent to our monitoring station unless a delay is added. The transmission delay setting does not apply to smoke or flood sensors, which will always transmit an immediate signal to the central monitoring station. If you disarm your system during the transmission delay time frame, the Cove Touch panel screen will notify you that the alarm was aborted and the central monitoring station will NOT attempt to contact you. You can adjust the transmission delay at any time in the transmission delay setting. Adjusting Transmission Delay Tap "Settings" (On the top right-hand corner of your panel) Enter in your four-digit master code Select "System" Select "Exit Delay" Increase/Decrease the Transmission Delay with the + and - symbols.…Read More -

We recommend default settings but have designed the Cove Touch panel to be easily modified to meet your preferences. Changing Entry Delay Tap "Settings" (On the top right-hand corner of your panel) Enter in your four-digit master code Select "Sensors" Select a sensor type you wish to modify, for example, "Doors."
