Troubleshooting Steps Still Need Help?

If your motion sensor isn’t picking up movement like it should, don’t worry — here are some quick and easy steps to get it back on track!

Troubleshooting Steps

1. Test the Sensor

Use the tamper button (located on the top-right of the sensor) to instantly test its connection — no need to wait!

2. Check the 3-Minute Cooldown

After detecting motion, your sensor enters sleep mode for 3 minutes to save battery.

To test again immediately, use the tamper button instead of waiting.

3. Replace the Battery

Fresh power can fix many issues. Replace the battery with a new CR123A battery for reliable performance.

4. Check Your Arm Mode

If testing in Away Mode, make sure the panel hasn't defaulted to Stay Mode, which disables motion sensors.

5. Verify Sensor Orientation

Make sure the sensor is installed correctly — the "TOP" label on the backplate should face up.

6. Fine-Tune Placement

Try adjusting the angle or position of the sensor for better room coverage.

7. Move the Panel Closer

If your panel is far away, bring it within range to ensure a strong, clear signal.
