How to Change Door/Window Sensor Batteries

If your panel shows a Low Battery alert for a Door or Window Sensor, it’s time for a quick battery swap. Don’t worry—it's fast, easy, and helps keep your system running smoothly.

Before You Begin
- Disarm your Cove panel
- Make sure you have two CR2032 batteries ready
- Grab a small flathead screwdriver
How to Replace the Batteries
- Open the Sensor
- Locate the larger piece of the sensor
- Find the edge with three raised lines
- Insert the screwdriver into the small gap and gently pry it open

- Remove the Battery Module
- Turn the cover upside down, and the battery module will drop into your hand
- Remove Old Batteries
- Use your screwdriver to slide the batteries out from under the black padded circles
- Note the + and - orientation before removing!

- Insert New Batteries
- Place two CR2032 batteries into the module, matching the correct polarity
- Reassemble the Sensor
- Place the battery module back into the sensor
- Snap the cover back into place
Test to Confirm
Once your new batteries are in, run a Complete Sensor Signal Test from your panel to ensure everything is working as it should.
