Congratulations on the purchase of your New system! The Alarm panel comes with a built-in Installation wizard to aid you in the installation of the Security components of your system. (Sensors, Alarm Panel, and Hub). This article will break down the setup into a few respective categories namely:

  • UI navigation

  • Questions Menu

  • Setup Hub and Sync with Hub

  • Connect to Wifi

  • Creating Master Code

  • Triggering and Installing Sensors

  • Verifying the Sensor Signals

  • Arming and Disarming Instructions

Navigating the User Interface

Below is one of the pages you may see on your Installation Process.

Here are some of the common buttons you may see on each of the pages.

  • Question Mark Icon (?) - This will bring up the questions menu (covered in the next section).

  • Directions and installation instructions - This will be on the center of your page to walk you through how to trigger sensors followed generally by an image to instruct you how to operate or install the sensor.

  • Continue - This allows you to proceed to the next part of the setup or installation.

  • Back - Allows you to navigate back a page in case something isn’t properly completed.

  • Skip - This allows you to skip the current step. (We recommend only using this if your sensor is not operating properly, but will still allow you to complete the rest of the setup. If you do end up using the skip button due to a sensor not working properly, please reach out to our support team for further assistance.

There are a few other page-specific buttons and options available so please refer to those sections for any additional questions you may have.

Questions Menu

If you have any questions or encounter any obstacles while working through the installation, please click on the Question Mark. This page will bring up our support number as well as its own menu. If you click “Done” This will exit out of the questions Menu. If you click on “Menu” with the 3 bars at the top right of this Questions menu it will bring out a sliding menu bar with some additional functions, namely:

  • Information - Additional information including Serial number, firmware version number of that Alarm panel, and Hardware/build number.

  • Restart - This will restart the system and restart the install wizard back to its starting page.

  • Factory Default - This will unregister the Alarm Panel from the Hub and reset it back to its factory defaults. Please only Factory Default the Alarm panel when directed by our support team.

  • Power off - This will power off the Alarm Panel if the panel is currently unplugged. If it is not unplugged it will just restart the system.

  • Exit to Dashboard - This option will allow you to exit the rest of the installation. A confirmation pop-up will appear asking if you wish to exit or return back to the question menu. It's recommended only to exit the installation wizard when directed by our support team.

Set up and Syncing Alarm Panel with Hub

When you first plug in the Alarm Panel, it will boot up with this page:

Verify that you have plugged in the Hub to Power and the lights on the Hub are lit up. You can also plug in an ethernet cable to the Hub to use the Internet on the Hub. When everything is set up, click on “Get Started” to proceed to the next step.

The next page will ask you to Select your Hub. It will generate a list of Hubs available in the region (though it may only show 1 appearing on your list.) You can verify you’ve selected the proper Hub by locating the last 4 of the MAC (located on a sticker on the back of the Hub). If the last 4 matches with what is on your list, select that Hub and click Continue.

Your Hub will proceed with connecting to the Alarm Panel. When properly connected the page will switch to “Syncing panel data…” When completed you will get this page:

Connecting Alarm Panel to Wifi

This step is completely optional if you do not have wifi in the Home.

You will be prompted to select your Wi-Fi network. If you do not have Wifi available, click “Skip for now” to proceed to the next section and continue on to the next section of this article.

Select your Wifi and click “Continue” to proceed to the password page.

Once on the Wifi Password page, click on the text box and enter your password. Check for any capitalization and special characters as it is case-sensitive. Once entered click “Continue” and the Panel will attempt to connect to the Network Selected.

If you are successful you should have this pop-up.  You can proceed to the next section by clicking “Continue”.

You can proceed to the next section of Master Code creation by clicking “Continue”.

If you are unable to connect successfully, please refer to this article

Creating Master Code

This section will allow you to create the Master User’s, Master Code. The Master code is used to access system settings and grant certain abilities (like adding other users). After connecting to your hub, you will need to create your 4-digit master code and confirm that code. Type in a desired 4-digit code to be assigned as the Master code.

Once entered, another page will appear to confirm. If the codes do not match, there will appear a prompt to try again. If you cannot confirm the code, go back and retry creating the code. Once confirmed the system will validate the code and assign it to the master user. Once it’s validated, you will get this confirmation:

Click “Continue” To proceed to the next section - Installing your Sensors.

Once triggered, you will arrive at a page that says your sensor has been detected. It will display the name of the sensor you’ve triggered.

You can choose to rename your sensor by clicking the “Edit” button and renaming the sensor to your desired name. Once changed, the panel will audibly announce “Device Name changed to *new name of sensor*”

  • Please note that if you change the name of a door or window you will get a pop-up to indicate that you are renaming a door/window, and we recommend only installing a door sensor on a door or window sensor on a window. (If you need these changes, please reach out to our support team for further assistance.

Once you’ve confirmed the name of your sensor, install the sensor according to the suggested installation and then click continue to proceed with adding the additional sensors or move on to the next section of sensors.

If you encounter any sensors that will not trigger properly and you need to skip, you can click skip and get a confirmation pop-up that you wish to skip the sensors of the category you are currently on. It is also recommended that if you end up skipping a section due to a sensor not triggering properly, to reach out to our support team for further assistance.

Once all sensors have been added you will receive this confirmation page:

Once you get to this page all sensors (except the sensors that have been skipped) should be properly installed. You can proceed to verify the Sensor signals by clicking “Continue”

Sensor Verification

Once all sensors have been installed, you will want to go through and trigger each sensor based on the sensor type:

  • For Doors and Windows - Separate the Magnet (smaller piece) away from the Sensor (Larger piece)

  • For Motion Detectors - Press the button on the right-hand side of the sensor.

  • For Glass Breaks - Press the button located on the right side of the sensor.

  • For Smoke Detectors- Press and hold the “Test button” on the face of the sensor until it beeps. (Please note that the beeping on this device is relatively loud).

  • For Flood Sensors - Press the Tamper button located on the bottom of the device

Once the sensor has been triggered it will display a list of those sensor types that need to be triggered.

If your sensor triggers green, it means the sensor was verified. If any of the sensors do not trigger, you can click “Skip”. As with the Installation Phase, if you happen to skip any sensors, we recommend reaching out to our support team to identify why the sensor will not trigger.

Once all Sensors have been tested, the skip button will switch to a “Continue” button to proceed to the next section of sensors.

If you have any external/plug-in sirens, it will prompt you to press the “Test” button. When doing so you should hear a test beep from all sirens currently plugged in. Once tested you can continue.

After all sensors verifications have been completed, you will arrive on this page:

On this page, you can click “Continue” to proceed to the next section - Arming and Disarming Instructions

Arming and Disarming Instructions

The completion page will prompt you that the system is activated and ready to use. At this point, you can download the app and place your yard sign. When you are done, click “Complete” and you will exit out of the Install Wizard and your system is ready to go.

If you encounter any problems while in the installation wizard, please refer to the articles written or reach out to our support team for further assistance.
