I Armed Away, but my system Armed Stay, why?

Auto Stay Mode

When commanded to arm away, via the keypad only, your system is designed to automatically default back to arm stay if no protected exterior doors are opened and closed during the 60-second exit delay countdown. This helps to reduce false alarms and false dispatches. In this scenario, the panel assumes that no one has left the home and it is still occupied. If you use a key remote and/or the Cove app to arm the system to away mode, this functionality does not apply.
