How to "Silent Arm" your System
This feature is useful when you want to arm your system, however, you do not want to hear the beeping of the countdown. Silent Alarm Will: Remove beeping noises during the arming countdown Double the exit delay time, (default exit delay is 1 min) this will help prevent false alarms caused by not hearing the countdown Only work on one arming event (must select silent arm before each arming for it to be enabled) How to Silent Arm Home screen Tap "Silent Exit" at the bottom left corner OR Hit "Arm Away" or "Stay" (depending on if you are leaving your home or going to bed) Select "Silent Exit" on the bottom of the screen…Read More -
Arming in Away Mode
Arming Away When arming the system, select this mode when people will be leaving the home. When armed, all intrusion sensors (including motion sensors) are actively protecting your home and will alert the monitoring station if a sensor is triggered. To arm your system in "Away Mode" Click "Arm Away" on the home screen Your system will announce "Arming Away" and the countdown screen will appear with 60 seconds counting down. If you are Arming from the panel, a door sensor must be triggered during this countdown to let the system know you have left the home. Otherwise, the system will arm in Stay Mode. Arming in Stay Mode
Arm Stay & Night Mode When arming the system, select this mode when people will be staying inside the home. This mode arms your door, window, and glass break sensors but leaves the motion sensors disarmed. A helpful "Arm Stay" option is to select "Night Mode", which will immediately arm your system (no countdown) and remove any entry delay that is set on your door sensors. This means that if someone triggers a door sensor, it will set off the alarm immediately with no delay. I Armed Away, but my system Armed Stay, why?
Auto Stay Mode When commanded to arm away, via the keypad only, your system is designed to automatically default back to arm stay if no protected exterior doors are opened and closed during the 60-second exit delay countdown. This helps to reduce false alarms and false dispatches. In this scenario, the panel assumes that no one has left the home and it is still occupied. Disarming System via the Panel
When the system is armed, your Cove Touch panel screen will read either “I’m armed in stay mode” or “I’m armed in away mode.” When armed, all intrusion sensors are actively protecting the home and will alert the system if a sensor is triggered. Disarming the alarm system disables this intrusion feature. Disarming System via Panel Upon entering your home the alarm will begin an audible entry delay countdown for 30 seconds before triggering the alarm. If you don't make it in time, no worries, you can still disarm your system and you may receive a call from the monitoring center to verify you are OK.
