If you're seeing a Loss of Supervision message, don't worry
What Causes It?
- Sensor is too far from the panel or there's interference (this is the cause ~90% of the time)
- Low battery in the sensor
- Faulty sensor
Important: Do not reset your panel.
Step-by-Step Troubleshooting
1. Check for Distance or Interference
- Move your panel closer to the sensor (within 10–20 feet).
This is just for testing—you don’t need to keep it there permanently.
- Test the sensor to see if it reconnects.
- Wait 48 hours to see if the message clears.
2. Still Seeing the Message?
Try removing and re-adding the sensor:
- Delete the sensor from the panel.
- Re-add it using the normal setup process.
- Test it again and wait 48 hours to monitor.
3. Try Replacing the Battery
- Remove the sensor battery.
- Wait 30–40 seconds before inserting the new one.
- Test the sensor to ensure it reconnects.
- Again, wait 48 hours to confirm if the issue is resolved.
