Adding a Sensor or Siren through the Cove Connect App

Just got a new sensor? Great! You can add it to your system directly through the Cove Connect App in just a few simple steps.
Steps For Android Users

Open the Cove App
Tap the menu icon (☰) in the top left and go to Settings. -
Scroll Down & Select
Tap “Add a Zone.” -
Choose Sensor Format
- For most sensors, select Option 2: 0123456 and tap Next Step
- If you're adding a siren, select Option 1: 01AB23CD

Scan or Enter TXID
- Scan the sensor’s QR code or
- Manually enter the 7-digit TXID (found on the back of the sensor)
- For sirens, enter the 8-digit Serial Number and tap “Enroll Now” (then skip to Step 7)

Choose Sensor Type
Select the type of sensor you're adding (e.g., door, motion, etc.) -
Name the Zone
Pick a custom name (like “Front Door” or “Garage Window”) so you can easily identify it later. -
Enroll the Sensor
Tap “Enroll Now.”
You’ll see a confirmation bar that says “Enrolling…”
Once the process is complete, the bar will disappear and the sensor will appear on your Security page.
Steps For iOS Users

Open the Cove App
Tap the gear icon (⚙️) in the top left corner. -
Manage Your System
Select “Manage Systems” → Tap your system name or number. -
Add a Sensor
Choose “Zone & Peripheral Enroll”. -
Choose Sensor Format
- For most sensors, select Option 2: 0123456 and tap Continue
- For sirens, select Option 1: 01AB23CD

Scan or Enter Serial
- Scan the QR code, or
- Enter the 7-digit TXID (back of the sensor)
- For sirens, enter the 8-digit Serial Number and tap “Enroll Now” (skip to Step 7)

Set Sensor Type
Tap “Sensor Data Type,” then choose the correct sensor from the list. -
Name Your Zone
Enter a custom name for your sensor so it’s easy to identify. -
Finish Enrollment
Tap “Enroll Now”
You’ll see a confirmation message: “Enrollment Success”—tap OK. -
You’re Done!
Your new sensor will now appear on the Security screen of your app.
