Changing your CO Detector's Batteries

When Carbon Monoxide Detector batteries are low, the sensor will chirp approximately every 48 seconds. If you have received a Carbon Monoxide Detector Low Battery message on your panel, you will need to replace the battery promptly to ensure the device continues to function properly. Two (2) Alkaline AAA Batteries

Changing Instructions

  1. Open the Carbon Monoxide Detector by turning the detector counterclockwise until the back cover releases.

  2. Pay close attention to the orientation of the (+) and (-) sides of the battery in the button.

  3. Remove the battery and wait 20 seconds while the Carbon Monoxide Detector resets.

  4. Place the new Alkaline AAA batteries in the detector.

  5. Twist the Carbon Monoxide Detector clockwise back into place on the mounting plate.
