Adding the Smoke Detector
You have the ability to add equipment through the Cove Connect App. Please refer to this article for more information.
Some newer smoke detectors now have two QR code labels on opposite sides of the device.
- Manufacturer Label: This label will not work for adding your smoke detector to the app.
- TXID Label (Cove): This is the correct QR code to scan when adding your smoke detector in the app.
Tip: When adding your smoke detector in the app, make sure you are scanning the TXID label (not the manufacturer’s label), and try scanning in a well-lit area for the best results. If your smoke detector still fails to add, please contact us for assistance.
