  • 4 mths ago

Before You Get Started

Charge your Doorbell Camera with the provided Micro USB cable. It takes roughly 6 hours for a complete charge.

Complete the Pairing Process for the Doorbell Camera before Installation

Depending on the surface where you will install your doorbell camera, you may need a power drill with a 6mm drill bit and/or a Phillips screwdriver.

Depending on the Viewing Angle, You may want to use the angle bracket. Refer to “Installing the Angle Bracket” before installing the mounting bracket.

If you do not have existing wiring for your doorbell and intend to recharge the camera when needed, you can skip the steps related to wiring.

Selecting a Location

  • Ensure your Chime and Doorbell are within your Home’s Wi-Fi Router range.
  • Make sure that the Chime is within range of your Router and that your Doorbell Camera is within 10-30 feet of the Chime when installed in its permanent location.
  • Take the Video Doorbell to your front door and check the live view on the Cove Connect App simultaneously.
  • Find a position where you can get the desired field of view. Consider the below factors:
  • Check if you can reuse the holes and anchors on the wall or door frame.
  • If you want to place the doorbell close to a side wall, make sure the wall doesn’t show up in the field of view.
  • IMPORTANT: If there is a wall in the field of view of the Doorbell Camera it can cause night vision to become blurry because the Infrared light from the night vision lens will be reflected by the wall back onto the camera lens.
  • If you are drilling the mounting holes for the first time the recommended mounting height is 48" / 1.2m from the ground.
  • Use the 15° mounting wedge as a supplementary mounting bracket if you wish to see more on a specific side.

General guidelines for mounting height and angle:

Mounting the Doorbell Camera

If you are using existing doorbell wiring, please trip the breaker for your doorbell.

When you have decided on the mounting location for your doorbell camera please place the Screw Hole Positioning Card against the wall to mark the position

If you are using existing doorbell wiring make sure that they will be lined up with the Screw Hole positioning Card before drilling any new holes

Mounting the Doorbell on a Wooden Surface

  • If you’re mounting the doorbell on a wooden surface, you don’t need to pre-drill pilot holes. Use the provided screws to secure the Mounting Bracket on the wall.
  • The Screw Hole Positioning Card indicates the position of the screw holes.
  • Requirements: Power Drill or Screw Driver, Mounting Bracket, 15° Mounting Wedge (Optional), Screw Packs.

Mounting the Doorbell on a Hard Surface

  • If you’re mounting the doorbell on a surface made out of hard materials (brick, concrete, stucco, etc.), drill 2 holes through the Screw Hole Positioning Card with a 15/64”(6mm) drill bit.
  • Insert the provided anchors, and then use the provided long screws to secure the Mounting Bracket on the wall.
  • Requirements: Power Drill, 15/64”(6mm) Drill Bit, Mounting Bracket, 15° Mounting Wedge (Optional), Screw Packs

After setting up the Mounting Bracket you can now thread your existing Doorbell Wiring through the opening on the back of the Bracket.

Attach one wire to each screw on the back of the Eufy Doorbell Camera as seen in the image below. After attaching the wiring you can push any extra wiring back into the opening of the bracket so that the Camera can fit into the mounting bracket properly.

Mounting the Doorbell

Align the doorbell with the top of the mount and then snap the bottom into place.

You’re all set! You can now trip the breaker again and turn on the power for your doorbell.

If you are not using existing wiring to charge the doorbell, and need to recharge when the camera’s battery gets low.
