Water Leak Detector Tampering

The Water Leak Detector has a tamper function on the inside of the sensor that will send a tamper signal when the cover has been removed or the button on the bottom of the sensor is being pressed.

Most alarm equipment has a built-in tamper switch to deter unauthorized interference. When the panel reports a tamper trouble condition, it usually means the sensor casing is loose or the back clip has been removed. This occurs most frequently after changing device batteries.

Troubleshooting Sensor Tampering

• Make sure the button on the sensor is not being intentionally pressed.
