Forgot Password

This article details the process you should go through to reset your Cove Security app password. The screenshots provided are the same for iOS and Android devices. This is the preferred method to reset your password.

 

 Forgot Password

  1. If you have forgotten your password, you can request a new password by using the "Need Help?" link on the main login screen.
  2. After pressing "Need Help?", you will be directed to the second screen. Here you are notified that app access is available only on the Cove Plus Monitoring Plan and that the username is the primary user's phone number.
  3. If you are on the Plus Monitoring plan and need to generate a new password, select "Get temporary password". 

     
  4. You should enter the phone number or previously set username for the account, then press "Next".
  5. If the phone number or username is correct, you should select the method for receiving their temporary password. If the phone number or username is not recognized, you will be notified and asked to try again.
  6. The temporary password is only valid for 15 minutes. If the password has expired, you will need to go through the process again or call customer support at 855-268-3669.
