Carbon Monoxide Detector Tampering
Troubleshooting Carbon Monoxide Detector Tampering
The Carbon Monoxide Detector has a built-in tamper switch to deter unauthorized interference. When the Alarm Panel reports a tamper trouble condition, it usually means the mounting plate and the sensor are loose or not properly seated. This occurs most frequently after changing sensor batteries.
Troubleshooting Sensor Tampering
- Make sure the sensor is securely connected to the mounting plate. (It is recommended to remove and re-attach the sensor to the plate to ensure proper connection as displayed in the image below).
Make sure the alignment markers on the Mounting Base and the Detector are perfectly aligned
If your sensor continues to report tampering and you have ensured proper sensor alignment, please reach out to our support for further assistance.
