Overview

This guide provides step-by-step instructions to help you troubleshoot common Medical Pendant issues. It covers basic solutions for problems such as false alarms, low-battery alerts, and triggering issues.

Follow the steps provided to help restore your Medical Pendant to normal operation. If the issue continues after completing the troubleshooting steps, please contact our Support Team for additional assistance.

Medical Pendant False Alarms

Regularly testing and maintaining your sensors and medical devices helps prevent false alarms. In most cases, a low battery or device damage is the root cause of irregular activity.

Troubleshooting False Alarms

Make sure the Medical Alert Necklace isn't being triggered accidentally:

  1. Don't wear it in bed. Instead, keep it within arm's reach — typically on a nightstand or dresser.
  2. Check how it's carried. Avoid keeping it in a purse or bag alongside other items that could press the button.
  3. Avoid accidental presses. Be mindful of situations where the button could get pushed unintentionally.

Medical Pendant Low Battery

If you receive a "Low Battery" message on your panel for the Medical Pendant, the device itself must be replaced — it can't just have its battery swapped.

Why Replacement Is Required

The Medical Pendant uses an obsolete battery type. Attempting to replace it yourself risks damaging the equipment. For this reason, we recommend contacting our support team to have the device replaced.

Battery Lifespan

The battery typically lasts up to 5 years, though frequent activity can shorten that.

Medical Pendant Not Triggering

If your Medical Pendant isn't triggering correctly, we recommend testing the sensor. For testing steps, please see our Sensor Test article.

If your sensor still isn't working after those steps, please contact our support team for further assistance.
